What this helps you do
Answer one specific business question with a table, such as which products sold most or why stock changed.
Before you start
Decide what question you are asking. Reports with similar names can measure different things. For example, original order value is not the same as settled revenue after refunds.
Steps
- Open Reports.
- Select the report that matches your question.
- If shown, choose Start date and End date. The end date must be the same as or later than the start date.
- If shown, enter Rows from 1 to 200.
- Select Apply filters.
- Read the report description before interpreting the table.
What the filters mean
- Start date / End date: the Indian calendar dates included in the report. A report opens with today and the previous six days, giving a seven-day range.
- Rows: the maximum number of ranked results to show. It does not mean pages. A value of 50 asks for up to 50 results.
- Apply filters: loads the report using the values you entered. Changing a box alone does not apply it.
- Reset filters: returns to the default seven-day date range and the report's default row count.
Inventory status is a current snapshot, so it has a row limit but no date range. Other reports show only the filters that make sense for them.
What happens next
The table shows the accepted result. If an update fails, Upstorr keeps the previously loaded report visible and clearly says that the new filters could not be loaded. Do not mistake the old visible table for the failed new range.
Common problems
- Apply filters is disabled: make a change and enter valid dates or a whole row count from 1 to 200.
- No data found: no matching records were found for that range; try a wider range and confirm you chose the right report.
- GST summary is missing: this report appears only when tax collection is enabled.
- A staff member cannot open reports: they need permission to view reports.
