What this helps you do

Send one approved WhatsApp template to eligible customers now or at a future time.

Before you start

Connect WhatsApp, have an active approved marketing or utility template, and add enough marketing credits. Templates sync automatically after connection and are checked when you open a campaign. Authentication templates cannot be used for campaigns. Sending a campaign uses credits and cannot be undone.

Steps

  1. Open Marketing, then WhatsApp.
  2. Select New campaign.
  3. Enter a private Campaign name.
  4. Choose an Approved WhatsApp template.
  5. Fill every extra template field shown below the picker.
  6. If the template uses the same image, video, or PDF for everyone, the saved file link is used automatically. If it uses Different media for each customer, select Import media CSV. The CSV needs exactly two columns, phone,media_url, with one public HTTPS file link for each customer's phone number. A CSV can contain up to 5,000 customers.
  7. Choose all eligible customers, a saved customer group, or specific customers.
  8. Check Ready, No phone, Opted out, and Duplicates. Select View audience to inspect who will be included or skipped.
  9. Choose a Test customer if you want to preview the message with one person's values. The preview shows WhatsApp text formatting and the selected image or video when a link is available.
  10. To send later, choose a future Send later time.
  11. Select Save, then Send now or Schedule and read the confirmation.

What happens next

Send now queues the campaign and returns to the page straight away. Sending starts in the background, normally within a few minutes. The campaign and Broadcast list update while you remain on the page. Open a Broadcast to see the final sent and failed counts; the confirmation means the request was queued, not that every message was delivered. Once Send now has queued a campaign, it cannot be cancelled. A future Schedule can be cancelled before its send time.

The credit estimate uses your store's current plan and the ready recipient count. Upstorr reserves that amount before sending and returns the Upstorr credit for each failed message, including failures WhatsApp reports later. Open Marketing credits to check your balance and recent activity.

For personalized media, Upstorr checks that every ready customer has a matching link before sending or scheduling. It does not send Meta's approval sample to a customer whose link is missing.

Common problems

  • No templates appear: campaign and Templates pages automatically load missing templates and check Meta when the last sync is over 15 minutes old. Wait for loading to finish. If loading fails, select Retry. A template must be approved, active, and supported to appear in the campaign picker.
  • A template field is missing: fill every value requested by that template.
  • A customer has no media link: add that customer's phone and file link to the CSV, then import it again. The phone must match the customer's saved phone number, including any country code.
  • Send is unavailable: save unsaved changes and check the WhatsApp connection and credit balance.
  • No recipients are ready: the selected people need a usable phone number and WhatsApp marketing permission.
  • Specific-customer limit reached: select up to 1,000 people or use a saved customer group for a larger audience.
  • A broadcast stays Sending after a problem: open its Broadcast results before trying to send again. Upstorr may still be checking whether WhatsApp accepted the messages. Starting another broadcast could send the same message twice. If the attempt finishes as Failed, check its recipient results and marketing-credit activity before deciding what to do next.
