What this means
A Digital product gives the customer controlled access to private files after payment. It does not use normal stock, shipping, or bookings.
Digital files
Use one product-wide file when every buyer receives the same file. If variants receive different files, add an active file for every variant.
Download limit
This is the maximum number of times one customer may download the purchased files. Leave it blank for unlimited downloads.
Access duration (days)
This is how many days the customer’s download access remains available. Leave it blank when access should not expire.
Simple example
You sell a printable wedding invitation. Save the new digital product as a draft, upload the private PDF, set Download limit to 3, and set Access duration to 30 days. After payment, the customer can download it up to three times during those 30 days.
What you need to know
- First save a new digital product as a private Draft with both publishing boxes clear.
- After the product exists, upload one product-wide file or files for every variant.
- Upstorr keeps activation and publishing locked until it confirms that the required files are ready.
- Download limit and access duration must be whole numbers of 1 or more, or left blank.
- Digital files are delivered only after payment.
- Upstorr checks that every variant has file coverage before allowing the digital product to be activated or published.
