What this helps you do
Let a customer order online and collect the order from one of your inventory locations.
Before you start
The inventory location must have the correct collection address, be active, and have Fulfillment turned on.
Steps
- Open Settings.
- Find Additional delivery methods.
- Select Pickup in store.
- Select an inventory location.
- Turn on Location status.
- Choose the Expected pickup time.
- Write the optional Ready for pickup notification.
- Select Save.
What each field means
- Location status: makes this location available for pickup. The inventory location must be active and its Fulfillment setting must be on.
- Expected pickup time: tells customers roughly how long preparation normally takes. Available choices are 1, 2, 4, or 24 hours, or 2, 3, or 5 days.
- Ready for pickup notification: an optional message of up to 255 characters included when you mark the order ready. Add useful collection details, such as the counter name, opening time, or what proof to bring.
A useful message
Collect from the ground-floor counter between 10 am and 7 pm. Please show your order number.
Keep this field for instructions that apply after the order is ready. Do not promise a preparation time here; use Expected pickup time for that.
What happens next
The location shows Offers pickup, and eligible customers can choose it as their collection point.
Common problems
- The switch is unavailable: activate the inventory location and turn on Fulfillment.
- Pickup settings changed in another tab: refresh, review the newest values, and save again.
- Customers go to the wrong place: correct the inventory location address before offering pickup.
