What this helps you do
Pause a sale when the customer needs more time, then return to its items and customer later.
Before you start
You need internet, a signed-in staff member, and the correct location. Saving is not checkout: no order or payment is created.
Steps
- Open the current Cart.
- Open Cart options and select Save cart.
- Confirm the save.
- When the customer returns, open Saved carts.
- Check the cart label, customer, item count, total, and saved time.
- Select the cart to recall it.
- Review its live prices, stock, discounts, customer, and fulfilment before checkout.
Understand the saved-cart row
- Label: the saved cart name, or a short cart-number label when no name exists.
- Customer: shown when a customer was attached.
- Item count: number of items saved.
- Total: the total stored with that saved state.
- Time: when the cart was last updated.
The list belongs to the current location and staff context. A cart from another context may not appear.
What happens next
Recalling makes that saved cart the active cart and returns to POS Home. Open Cart to continue. Live checkout rules still apply; saving does not freeze stock or guarantee that a discount remains eligible.
Common problems
- A cart is missing: Confirm the location and staff session, then pull down to refresh.
- Recall says completed or expired: The cart is no longer available as unfinished work.
- The total changed: Product, discount, tax, delivery, or stock information was recalculated after recall.
- Save is unavailable offline: Reconnect before saving the cart to the shared store account.
