What this helps you do

View an issued customer document, print it, save its PDF, or email it to the customer.

Before you start

Open a completed order, not a draft order. The order must have an issued document. Emailing also requires a customer email address and permission to manage invoices.

Steps

  1. Open Orders and select the order.
  2. Find the document button near the top of the order or the document's row farther down the page.
  3. Open its actions menu.
  4. Select Open / print to open the PDF and use your browser's print controls.
  5. Select Download to save the PDF to your device.
  6. Select Email to customer to send it to the email address saved on the order.

If an order has more than one original document, Upstorr can open, download, or email the group together.

What happens next

Opening or downloading does not change the order. Emailing sends the issued document to the customer saved on that order.

Custom documents have the same three actions. Their PDF is created from the custom design and that order's information.

Common problems

  • Email to customer is unavailable: add an email address to the customer or ask a staff member with invoice-management permission.
  • No document button appears: draft orders do not have original issued documents.
  • The PDF does not open: allow the browser to open the document, then try again.
  • The document details look old: issued documents keep their historical information; changing today's template does not rewrite them.
