What this helps you do

Find a coupon, understand whether customers can use it now, and change or remove it safely.

Before you start

Staff need coupon-management permission to create, edit, or delete coupons.

Steps

  1. Open Coupons.
  2. Search by coupon details or sort the list by creation time, title, or Enabled status.
  3. Read the row from left to right:
    • Coupon: the private title and either its customer code or “Automatic discount”.
    • Type: what kind of discount it is and whether the value is a percentage, fixed amount, or another supported value.
    • Applies to: the products, collections, order, or delivery charges the discount targets.
    • Eligibility: which customers may use it.
    • Usage: how many times it has been used, its saved limit, and whether one customer may use it again.
    • Active dates: when its availability begins and ends.
    • Status: whether it is usable now.
  4. Read the status:
    • Active: enabled and inside its saved date window.
    • Scheduled: enabled, but its start time is in the future.
    • Expired: its end time has passed.
    • Inactive: Enabled is turned off.
  5. Open the row menu and select Edit coupon. Staff with view-only access see View coupon instead.
  6. Change the dates or Enabled setting, then save.
  7. To permanently remove it, select Delete coupon and confirm.

You can select several coupons in the list and delete them together. If only some deletions succeed, Upstorr tells you how many failed so you can retry the remaining selections.

What happens next

Saved changes affect later attempts to use the coupon. Deleting it means customers can no longer use it.

If another tab or staff member saved a newer version while you were editing, Upstorr shows Newer coupon changes are available. Reload the current coupon before making a new change.

Common problems

  • Scheduled instead of Active: its start time is still in the future.
  • Expired while Enabled is selected: its end time has passed.
  • Active but not applying: Active describes the date and Enabled state; the cart must still pass every other rule.
  • Your save is blocked by newer changes: reload the coupon so you do not overwrite another person's work.
