What this helps you do
Control the exact days and times customers may choose, including normal weekly hours and exceptions.
Before you start
Save the booking offer or resource first. Decide whether you are adding normal repeating hours, one exceptional date, or time that must be blocked.
Where to add hours
Open a saved booking offer or resource and find Availability. A new offer or resource must be saved before hours can be added.
Choose the right type
- Weekly hours: repeat on the weekdays you select. Use this for normal working hours.
- Special date: adds bookable hours on one particular date. Use it for an extra Sunday opening or different festival hours.
- Unavailable: blocks bookings during the entered time on one particular date. Use it for leave, maintenance, or a private event.
Steps
- Select Add availability.
- Choose the type.
- For weekly hours, choose one or more weekdays. For a special or unavailable date, choose the date.
- Choose a Start time and End time. The end must be later than the start. Times move in 15-minute steps in the picker.
- For weekly hours, open Advanced options if the schedule should run only for a date range.
- Select Add availability.
Advanced weekly fields
- Starts from: the first date on which these repeating hours apply. Leave it empty to start immediately.
- Ends on: the final date on which these repeating hours apply. Leave it empty to continue until you change the schedule.
The ending date cannot be before the starting date. Upstorr also prevents the exact same availability entry from being added twice.
How offer and resource hours work together
The offer must have availability or its website slots stay hidden. A resource with no availability follows the offer's hours. When a resource has its own hours, those hours further limit the offer.
Example: the offer runs Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00. Dr Neha is available only Monday and Wednesday, 10:00–14:00. An offer requiring Dr Neha can show slots only inside those Monday and Wednesday hours.
Remove hours
Select the remove button beside an entry and confirm. Removing the hours changes future slot availability; it is not a way to cancel an existing customer booking.
What happens next
Check the customer-facing website and confirm the expected slots appear. Test a normal day and any special or unavailable date you added.
Common problems
- No Add availability button appears on a new record: save the offer or resource first.
- No website slots appear: an offer needs its own availability, and every required resource must be active and able to handle the slot.
- An entry will not save: choose at least one weekday or a valid date, and make the end time later than the start time.
- “This availability entry already exists” appears: the exact same entry is already saved; edit your plan or remove the old entry first.
