What this means

  • Approved: Meta approved the template. It can appear for campaign use when it is also active and supported.
  • Pending: Meta is still reviewing it.
  • Rejected: Meta did not approve it. Review the rejection reason before creating a corrected template.
  • Paused: Meta has temporarily paused it.
  • Disabled: it cannot currently be used.

Quality is Meta's quality signal. Upstorr shows Green as High, Yellow as Medium, Red as Low, and an unknown value as Not rated.

Refresh from Meta asks Meta for the newest status. The page also refreshes automatically when its saved Meta data is older than about 15 minutes.

Simple example

You submit a festive-sale template. It first appears as Pending. After Meta approves it, refresh the list. It can then appear in a new campaign's Approved WhatsApp template picker.

What you need to know

  • The Templates page first shows totals for Approved, Pending, Rejected, and Paused templates.
  • Each row shows the template name, language, type, status, and quality. Search finds a template by name. Sort can arrange the list by template, type, status, or quality.
  • An Approved label alone is not enough if the template is inactive or contains features Upstorr cannot send.
  • Pending, Rejected, Paused, and Disabled templates cannot be selected for a normal campaign send.
  • Refreshing from Meta does not change the message; it updates Upstorr's copy of Meta's status.
  • A low quality rating comes from Meta, not from an Upstorr score.
