What this helps you do

Show Local delivery at checkout when a customer's address and order match the rules you set.

Before you start

Create an active inventory location and turn on Fulfillment for it. Local delivery is set up separately for each location.

Steps

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Find Additional delivery methods.
  3. Select Local delivery.
  4. Select the inventory location that will send the order.
  5. Turn on Location status.
  6. Add at least one delivery zone.
  7. Choose My own rider, Automated rider, or both.
  8. Select Save.

What each choice means

  • Location status: lets this location offer local delivery. You cannot turn it on until the inventory location itself is active and allowed to fulfil orders.
  • Delivery zone: decides which customer addresses qualify and what delivery costs.
  • My own rider: you arrange the rider and update each delivery yourself.
  • Automated rider: Upstorr books delivery through the connected delivery provider. Connect Shiprocket before choosing it.

You may keep both rider methods enabled. Customers only choose Local delivery; they do not choose your rider provider.

What happens next

The location shows Offers delivery when local delivery is on, it has a zone, and at least one rider method is enabled. Matching customers can then see the option at checkout.

Common problems

  • The switch is unavailable: activate the inventory location and turn on its Fulfillment setting.
  • Save asks for a zone: add at least one PIN-code or radius zone.
  • Automated rider is unavailable: connect Shiprocket first.
  • Changes from another tab: refresh the page, check the latest settings, and save again.
