What this means
Product media shows customers what they are buying. Upstorr supports images and videos, with a combined limit of 15 media items for a product or variant.
Upload new
Choose files from your device. The uploaded files are also added to the store’s media library so they can be reused.
Select existing
Choose images or videos that are already in the Upstorr media library. This avoids uploading the same file again.
Primary image
The first image is the product’s primary image and thumbnail. It is marked with the number 1. Drag images into a different order to change which image comes first.
Variant media
When a product has variants, each variant can have its own images and videos. For example, the red kurta variant can show red photos while the blue variant shows blue photos.
Simple example
Upload a clear front photo first, followed by side, back, and close-up photos. Add a short product video after the images. The front photo becomes the main thumbnail because it is first.
What you need to know
- The 15-item limit counts images and videos together.
- Add at least one image before adding a video. A video cannot be the primary media item.
- Upstorr will not let you remove the last image while videos are still attached.
- Only images can be dragged to change the primary image order.
- Removing media from a product removes it from that product selection; use the media library carefully when managing the original asset.
- Staff need product and media permissions to upload, select, arrange, or remove media.
