What this helps you do

Add the GST identity and signature that Upstorr uses on documents issued from the matching Indian state.

Before you start

Keep your GSTIN and an authorized signature image ready. The image must be PNG or JPEG, no larger than 2 MB, and at least 80 × 30 pixels.

Steps

  1. Open Settings, then open Tax.
  2. Find GST Registrations and select Add GSTIN.
  3. Enter the 15-character GSTIN and wait while Upstorr checks it.
  4. After validation, review the business name, PAN, address, city, pincode, and state that were filled in.
  5. Add the compliance contact details.
  6. Upload the authorized signature.
  7. If this registration covers zero-rated exports under an LUT or Bond, select the correct mode and enter its reference and financial year. Otherwise, keep None.
  8. Select Make this the default GST registration only if this should be the first registration Upstorr uses where a more specific choice has not been made.
  9. Select Save.
  10. Open each inventory location that fulfils orders and attach the correct GST registration for that state.

What happens next

The registration becomes available to inventory locations and customer tax documents. Replacing its signature affects future documents only; documents already issued keep their original details.

Common problems

  • GSTIN will not save: the GSTIN must be successfully validated first.
  • PAN does not match: use the PAN contained inside that GSTIN.
  • State does not match: choose the state represented by the first two digits of the GSTIN.
  • Signature is rejected: use a PNG or JPEG that meets the size and dimension rules.
  • Delete is unavailable or unsafe: remove a registration only after no inventory location should use it anymore.
