What this helps you do
Change common product fields without opening every product separately.
Before you start
Open Products. Table edits stay unsaved until you select Save. Gift card products must be edited from their dedicated Gift Card Product page.
Steps
Edit one value
- Select an editable value in the table, such as Price, Status, Vendor, Tags, or a sales channel.
- Enter or choose the new value.
- Check every changed row.
- Select Save at the top.
- Wait for the success result before leaving the page.
Apply one value to many cells
- Select Bulk edit.
- Select the cells you want in one supported column.
- Edit one selected cell.
- Confirm that the same change appears in the other selected cells.
- Repeat for another column only after checking the first result.
- Select Save.
- Select Exit bulk edit when finished.
Fields you can edit in the table
Depending on product kind and permissions, the table can edit status, price, sale price, discount, profit, margin, cost price, barcode, collections, tags, vendor, sales channels, Charge tax, Track quantity, and Continue selling when out of stock.
Variant rows can directly edit barcode, price, sale price, cost price, Track quantity, and Continue selling when out of stock. Upstorr guards price-related bulk edits so a product-level value is not blindly written across products whose variants need separate values.
SKU is deliberately not a bulk-selectable cell. Open the product when its identity needs careful editing.
Generate many barcodes
- Enter Bulk edit.
- Select empty barcode cells for the products or variants that need codes.
- Select Generate barcodes.
- Check the generated values.
- Select Save.
Generating a value in the table does not finish the change until Save succeeds.
Cancel and save safely
- Cancel: removes the unsaved table edits and keeps the last saved product data.
- Save: sends every pending product and variant change. Leave the page only after it finishes.
- If another person changed a product after your table loaded, Upstorr protects the newer version. It keeps your edits visible and asks you to press Save again after the refreshed data is checked.
- If part of a multi-product save fails, already confirmed saves remain saved and the remaining edits stay available for correction. Read the shown message before retrying.
For example, select the Price cells for three simple products, enter ₹499 once, check all three rows, and Save. Do not select a fourth product unless ₹499 is truly correct for it too.
What happens next
Saved changes update the catalogue and its affected sales channels. Inventory fields update only for physical products and only for staff with inventory permission.
Common problems
- A cell cannot be selected: That field is not safe for bulk editing, the product kind does not support it, or it belongs to a gift card product.
- Inventory setting is blocked: Services and digital products do not use normal product stock.
- Save says the product changed elsewhere: Review the refreshed row, then Save again only if your edit is still correct.
- Some changes remain after Save: They were not confirmed. Read the error, correct those rows, and retry without redoing successful rows.
- Generated barcode disappeared: It was not saved, or the save failed. Generate it again only after checking whether another code was already stored.
