What this helps you do
Turn a Physical product or Service into something customers can reserve for a date and time.
Before you start
Create the product first. The product must be a Physical product or Service that supports booking. Create any required resources before the offer if you want to select them immediately.
Steps
- Open Bookings → Offers.
- Select Create booking offer.
- Select Choose product, then pick the product customers will pay for.
- Choose the Booking type.
- Enter the booking duration and customer limits.
- Set the notice, future booking window, and buffers.
- Choose every Required resource, if any.
- Choose how the booking is completed and set the no-show grace period.
- Turn on a security deposit only when you genuinely need one.
- Select Save.
- Add the offer's availability. A saved offer with no hours does not show bookable website slots.
Booking types
- Appointment: one scheduled service, such as a consultation.
- Class: a scheduled session that may allow several units in the same slot.
- Space rental: a place reserved for a period, such as a studio.
- Resource rental: equipment or another item reserved for a period.
The type helps organise and describe the offer. The other rules—capacity, quantity, resources, and availability—still decide what can actually be booked.
Product visibility
The product picker says whether a product is Visible on website or Hidden on website. Selecting a hidden product does not make it visible. Review the product's status and online-store publishing setting when customers cannot find it.
What happens next
Open the saved offer and add its availability. Then make a test booking from your website.
Common problems
- No product appears: the product must be a Physical product or Service that supports booking. Digital products cannot be selected.
- Customers see no slots: save the offer, add offer availability, and make sure required resources are active and available.
- Maximum quantity will not save: it cannot exceed Capacity per slot when capacity belongs to the offer.
- The deposit will not save: enter more than zero, use no more than two decimal places, and check the possible total for a per-unit deposit.
