What this means
Marketing credits are a prepaid INR balance used for paid message delivery. The panel shows the current balance and the current price for each email or WhatsApp message category.
An email campaign's required balance is the current email rate multiplied by the eligible recipient count. Scheduling checks that enough balance exists at that moment. Sending still depends on the final eligible audience.
Current balance
The amount presently available in the store's marketing wallet. Use Refresh credits after a payment or when the displayed balance may be old.
Rate cards
The current cost shown as “each”. Email has one email rate. WhatsApp rates are shown by message category.
Top up amount
The INR amount to add through Razorpay. The allowed minimum and maximum are shown below the field and can change with the store's current settings.
Simple example
If the displayed email rate is ₹0.50 each and 100 customers are eligible, the required balance is ₹50. Check the live rate in Upstorr instead of relying on this example.
What you need to know
- Rates and top-up limits come from the live Upstorr settings; the Help Center intentionally does not hard-code a price.
- Only staff with the required permission can add credits.
- If payment was submitted but confirmation did not finish, select Check payment again before starting another top-up.
- Sending an email preview also requires the current per-email credit amount.
- A low balance can make WhatsApp document delivery unavailable, with email used as the fallback where available.
