What this helps you do
Let Upstorr create Shiprocket shipments and keep their tracking status updated.
Before you start
Have an active Shiprocket account. You need permission to manage delivery providers and access to Shiprocket API users and webhooks.
Steps
- Open Settings → Shipping & Delivery.
- Under Delivery Providers, select Connect Shiprocket.
- Open Shiprocket's API users page and create a separate API user for Upstorr.
- Enter that API user's email and password in Upstorr.
- Select Connect Shiprocket and wait for Connected.
- Select Enable instant tracking.
- Open Shiprocket Webhooks.
- Copy the Webhook URL from Upstorr into Shiprocket.
- Copy the Security token exactly and complete the webhook test in Shiprocket.
- Keep the Upstorr guide open until it says Instant tracking is active.
Understand the connection
- API user email: the separate Shiprocket login Upstorr uses for API work. It should not be a guessed address.
- API user password: the password for that API user. Treat it as a secret.
- Connected: Upstorr can create and manage shipments through this store's Shiprocket account.
- Automatic checks: Upstorr checks tracking about every 10 minutes even without instant tracking.
- Instant tracking: Shiprocket sends a webhook to Upstorr as soon as a shipment event arrives.
- Webhook URL: the Upstorr address Shiprocket calls.
- Security token: proves the incoming webhook belongs to this configured connection. Copy it exactly and do not share it.
The API user and webhook belong to the current store's connection. Connecting Shiprocket does not by itself make every location ready; automated delivery also needs the correct location setup.
Disconnect Shiprocket
Select Disconnect only when Upstorr should stop using this Shiprocket account. New automated shipment work and provider tracking can stop. Existing orders and their saved shipment history remain business records.
What happens next
Upstorr can use Shiprocket for eligible shipment work. Tracking updates arrive through the webhook when instant tracking is confirmed, with periodic checks as additional tracking support.
Common problems
- Connect is disabled: Enter both API-user fields and check your permission.
- Shiprocket rejects the login: Use API-user credentials, not an unrelated storefront customer login.
- Instant tracking is not confirmed: Paste the exact URL and token, save the webhook in Shiprocket, and run its test.
- Tracking still updates slowly: The webhook is not confirmed, so only periodic checks may be working.
- Automated delivery is still unavailable: Complete the inventory location's address, map verification, fulfilment, and delivery settings.
